Building a 2016 V8 Miata
December 8, 2017
It's been eventful since we
last posted an update!
The car was given the final assembly and fired up. It's a mean, mean sounding thing - the big cam in the Lingenfelter engine pulls very little vacuum idle, which means the butterflies in the exhaust are open. This makes for a massive thunderous noise.
Here, experience it for yourself. This is the first time the car's moved under its own power. Make sure you turn it up, and a subwoofer is recommend in order to duplicate the truly physical feel of the exhaust note.
